Page Animal Hospital
“Your other family health team. Providing compassionate care & exceptional veterinary medicine”
Established in 1986, Page Animal Hospital is a private, family owned and operated veterinary hospital. Family is important to our well-being. Our pets are our family, so their well-being is our well-being. Here at Page Animal Hospital, we are dedicated both to the welfare the animals entrusted to our care and to showing compassion to their human companions. We believe in giving them the same loving attention and care treating every pet patient as if they were our own.
Attention to detail and focus on your pet’s individual needs are paramount to ensuring your pet receives the best possible care. We take the time necessary to listen to your pet’s history and your concerns. After a thorough examination of your pet, we discuss with you all treatment options and answer all your questions in a calm and unhurried setting. We work together with you to create a personalized treatment plan you are comfortable with that promotes the health of your pet.
Page Animal Hospital offers a full-service veterinary hospital. Keeping pets healthy requires teamwork and pet parents are an important part of that team. Through education about preventative care that may avoid a trip to our hospital, we ensure that our pet parents become well-informed participants in their pet’s care. This helps to minimize anxiety and continues to promote the well-being of both pet and pet parent.
Preventative care includes, but is not limited to, annual wellness checks, annual vaccinations, routine dental care and nutritional education.
For those unavoidable trips to our hospital, our state-of-the-art onsite diagnostic tools and in-house laboratory provides timely diagnosis and treatment of your pets. Our surgical suites, furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, allows us to provide services from routine dentals to more complex surgeries.
Thank you, for entrusting Page Animal Hospital with the care and well-being of your beloved family pet.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Kevin Ballard, DVM Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Kevin D. Ballard was born and raised in beautiful Southern Utah, growing up in the town of Hurricane. He grew up next door to his Grandparents who always had a horse for him to ride. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be a veterinarian and focused his efforts to reach that goal from late in middle school through graduation from Hurricane High School in 1995. He attended Southern Utah University from 1998-2002 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree, then moved on to Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2002-2006. He worked at Desert Pines Equine Center in Las Vegas, NV from May of 2006 to September 2012. He also worked part-time at the Southwest Animal Emergency Hospital in St. George, UT starting in the fall of 2011 before purchasing Kanab Veterinary Hospital in August 2012.
Dr. Ballard thoroughly enjoys being a veterinarian, consistently going above and beyond in the care for all his patients and their human companions.
Dr. Ballard and his wife, Ann, are the proud parents of ten children. They enjoy the outdoors together riding horses, driving wagons, camping, hunting, fishing and ranching. He is intensely passionate about serving the animals and people of Page, AZ.
Dr. Jerry Roundtree, DVM
Dr. Roundtree has deep family roots in Page, AZ going back to his great-grandparents who, as pioneers to the area, established the very first business on Lake Powell. Dr. Roundtree operated Page Animal Hospital for 32 years until 2018, when he and his wife were called to serve their Church in China. At that time, he sold the practice to the current owner, Dr. Kevin Ballard.
Dr. Roundtree has lived the majority of his life in Page, except for brief periods after graduating Page High School when he attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated with his DVM degree, when he completed his church missions and during his various employments.
A strong family man, Dr. Roundtree has been married to his wife, Debi, for 40 years. They have five children together and seven grandchildren. He has a strong commitment to the services of others, so, after a brief period of retirement in Oklahoma, Dr. Roundtree returned to Page saying, “This has been and always will be home for me.”

TC Holman – Veterinary Assistant/Primary Boarding Services Caregiver
(A quote from a local pet owner)
“If I had to pick anyone to care for my animal while I was out of town – it would be TC!”
A native of Page, AZ, while still in High School, TC began working for Page Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant in the hospital, and in the pet boarding facility. That was more than 16 years ago! Always eager to learn and grow, driven by her passion for animals, TC has seized upon every opportunity for hands-on training, eventually working her way up to become a very capable, much relied upon and much-loved veterinary technician.
In addition to her 16 years of practical training in a veterinary hospital, TC offers so much more when your pets board with us. She is one of the most attentive, caring and affectionate animal caregivers you could hope to meet. She effortlessly adapts from interacting with young vibrant pets to offering her gracious and loving support as a hospice caregiver – and everything in between. TC consistently goes above and beyond with each client and individual animal to ensure the best care possible. She is a skilled observer of animals, knowing what to watch for as far as medical concerns. Her hands-on training over the years endows her with essential skills for administering medications and other basic treatment protocols, ensuring continuity of your veterinarian’s treatment plan for your pet while you are away.
TC’s client communication skills are second to none. She is extremely personable with each person she meets and her follow-up is excellent. TC is known to volunteer to be with clients during their most difficult times to ensure they are comforted and hugged. TC has an amazing ability to remember client and animal names and recall details from previous interactions she had with them.
Among TC’s family members is a very special dog name Praisely. Around Valentine’s Day in 2018, a friend of TC had been giving away puppies and there were three still searching for forever homes. Initially faced with a difficult decision as to which puppy would join her family, suddenly the decision was simple when TC noticed one of the puppies, slightly uncoordinated, walking into a tree and into a fence. There was no question! TC pointed her finger and said, “that one”! Praisely is now a high energy and playful member of TC’s family that receives all the attention and is loved and spoiled unconditionally. TC also takes care of our 16 year old hospital mascot, a cat named Wilson, assuring his long list of medical needs are met and any concerns are escalated to a veterinarian in a timely fashion.
Family time is very important to TC. She particularly loves to go camping with her family in her spare time. Drawing is another favorite past-time of TC’s.
Speaking of family – TC sincerely empathizes with the concerns about leaving your furry family members, whether it is a planned vacation or an unexpected life’s diversion. You can rest assured that at Page Animal Hospital Boarding Services, TC will treat your beloved pet or pets as an extended member of her own family, with all the comfort and care your pet is accustomed to. It will be their “home away from home”!
